Eddie Van Halen to Enter Rehab...

On the Van Halen website a message addressed to the adoring fans stated that Eddie Van Halen is to enter rehab for unspecified reasons. Eddie was quoted saying, "At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That's why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110 per cent that I feel I owe you and want to give you".
I think Eddie has it all wrong, going to rehab could wreck his career. Look at Keith Richards, he's done so much acid its preserved his bones, he's immortal and geriatrically stronger than ever. Maybe Eddie should reconsider...then again judging by the picture, rehab may be his only option...

It's sad but true. Drugs seem to have embedded themselves into the life of rock and roll and most music for that matter. However not all are as strong as good old Keith Richards, Some people can't handle it and we lose some great musicians because they don't seek help. Billy Holiday, Elvis, Tommy Bolin, Jon Bonham, Janis Joplin, Jonathan Melvoin, Keith Moon and many more. I think that Drugs are what they are but not all musicians are as untouchable as Keith Richards and although one could say rehab would end careers it could also prolong them...I wonder what the world would be like if The above singers lived longer.

I was attempting to convey sarcasm when writing that entering rehab could end Eddie's career...clearly no one is better off in Keith Richards situation...
