The Vancouver Street team will be at Foxfest on Canada July 1 handing out 3 Days Grace, Tool, & Pearl Jam stickers and posters atfter the show @ approximately 6 pm. If you're attending this event, make sure to stop and say whats up to one of us.

World Cup - Not All Fun and Games

Well, June 14th as far as I'm concerned was the Armageddon of 2006. Why you ask? Let me explain.

Wednesday began as any other weekday for me during the summer... with WORK. This month however is much more special then your average June, because World Cup fever has grabbed a hold of me and 1 billion other fans around the globe. So off I go to work with my proud Ukrainian flag flying from my window, ready to begin a month of cheering for my country's run to glory. For anyone who watched the game or saw SPORTSCENTRE highlights knows where this may be going.

The game is supposed to start at 9:00am, and of course I have to work all day 8-4:30pm. This doesn't stop me however because I manage to find a place at work with a television showing all world cup games all day. My boss is harassing me to work and my job involves delivering and moving around, so watching the game on television becomes somewhat of a problem for me. Yet my Macgyver skills keep me alive, as I supply myself with a radio where ever I go, or make one out of a pack of toothpicks and gum when necessary. So this day seems great, it's sunny, hot, and my country is playing their very first game in the World Cup, EVER - I must add. This game is all about pride and starting off on the right foot you could say. "The Power to the radio turns on - "GOOOOOOALL! Spain scores again... Some random Spanish screaming and yelling... 2-0 Spain, the Ukraine is getting crushed within these first minutes of their World Cup debut."

I honestly admit for the first time in my early adult life I cried and I cried for a good four minutes. So not only is this the beginning of the soccer game, my work shift and a long day of hell in generl, but then I start getting harassed by co-workers who know I am half Ukrainian. They say it is only 'payback' for all my comments about how my team was going to do well. I must come clean that I did talk a lot.. maybe a little too much about how my country will ruin anyone.. but come on, until this Wednesday the Ukraine had only lost 1 game ever!!! I think have some right to brag.

Anyways, long story short... the Ukraine got killed by Spain 4-0 and I'm pretty sure my ancestors must have thrown up after that pathetic performance. Needless to say my car flag went down and into hiding on my way home as I drove off in shame. I just hope by expressing this sorrow that I am able to relate with all those other soccer fans that have faced such defeats in the past.
Let me leave you with this word of advice, if you are feeling down like I was Wednesday or for any other reason and you need to think happy thoughts; I must recommend listening to Heavy D and the Boyz - Now That We Found Love in the car on the drive home; This song could have single handedly saved me from a complete psychological break down. Definition of Fashion?!?

Recurring News: The Fashion World has gone out of 'creative' control!..Again (I hope she's insured.)

After foolishly watching the first episode of Canada's Next Top Model, those girls ain't got nothing on this chick! Japanese designer, Michiko Koshino showcases one of her many interesting pieces at London's Fashion Week.
My questions to the designer are:
1) Who in the world would buy & wear something like this?
2) In what sense of the word 'fashion', was she referring to?

Spongebob & Nikey Combo?!

Hell has frozen over more times than I can count.
Now that Skater/Rapper, Lupe Fiasco has manifested the SB Dunks/Air force sneakers in his song Kick,Push, The skate world has gone Special Edition on us. Check out these shoes I found on Ebay, entitled "Skatershoes-SB Dunks, Limited Edition NR".

Next thing you know, they might just release a "Scarface" shoe edition...

... I spoke too soon. Regardless if it's authentic or not, I hope you spend our money wisely. In fact, stop blogging now and just go buy the Matisyahu & FlyLeaf CDs already:)

Dave Matthews Band + Matisyahu = LIVE!

(Tues, June 13) Seeing Matisyahu perform @ Molson Amphitheatre for the first time, I'd have to say: A Jewish dude, rapping reggae style, whose also a beatboxer..?!! I was deeply outraged, yet intrigued. The Dave Mathews crowd were really digging him. They were jumping, dancing & some even waved the Israel flag, flat out giving him total support (either that or they were stone cold high & drunk...whatever the case, the vibe was great!) Seeing Matisyahu on the same bill as Dave Matthews Band, was a concert I will never forget. Another thing to mention, DMB ended up performing 2 encores! Just so you know that once you attend a DMB concert, you definitely get your money's worth.

She may be short but Lacey's got a big voice!

Though I couldn't attend the show (Street Team Leaders has its overtime, workload outside of Toronto) nevertheless, I heard the show was crazy! Apparently lead singer, Lacey Molsey (YES, she's female, NO she doesn't resemble Evanescence in any way, shape or form) can scream her pants off! "Best part about their performance," David T (intern) says "was the guitarist. The guy was using a violin bow to play his electric guitar!"..Yet another awesome event I missed:(
